Allyson Swaby was born in Hartford, in the United States on 3 October 1996. She developed her footballing skills between her native Connecticut and the neighbouring Massachusetts, studying at Boston College. Her first overseas experience came in Iceland, at Fjarðab/Höttur/Leiknir in 2018. However, her success at the highest level came in Italy: a few months after her Icelandic experience came the call from Roma, where she spent four seasons, collecting 55 appearances, scoring two goals and winning the Coppa Italia against AC Milan in 2021. Two brief stints with Angel City in the United States and PSG followed before she joined the Rossonere in the summer of 2023, the same summer she made her second World Cup appearance with Jamaica. After the 2019 World Cup in France, her 2023 experience in Australia saw her play an even greater role; her goal against Panama enabled the Jamaicans to make it through the group stage for the first time in the nation's history. In her first season with the Rossonere, she made 21 appearances in all competitions.
