Despite a debut marred by a missed penalty against Genoa at the Marassi Stadium, Omero Tognon's would develop into a key player for AC Milan over the 11 seasons he spent at the club. The powerful midfielder from Padua was a central figure for the club in the 1950s, becoming team captain and contributing to two Serie A titles, in 1951 and 1955, and one Latin Cup, in 1951. During his time with the Rossoneri, he featured 334 times and scored two goals.
