PRIMAVERA DEFEATED AFTER FROSINONE COMEBACK, 3-5 IN THE OPENER

The home opener in the championship is bitter: up 3-1, the Rossoneri capitulate in the second half

A no-nonsense but negative debut for Ignazio Abate's new Primavera team. On the first day of the season, at the PUMA House Of Football - Centro P. Vismara, AC Milan were victims of a comeback and beaten by the newly promoted Frosinone 5-3. A really strange match, almost indecipherable: after a difficult start with the first opponent's goal, El Hilali's double and G. Rossi's goal seemed to bode well, but the first half was only a distant memory because in the second half the young Rossoneri collapsed under the blows of the Ciociari, who proved stubborn and clinical to overturn the match and take the victory in the final.

It is only the beginning, the team is in the middle of a learning period after, however, a summer of work and an excellent Cairo Memorial tournament, it will be necessary to develop and correct mistakes because there were too many errors in the overall performance. From El Hilali's performance to the offensive manoeuvres, there was no shortage of positives to be gleaned from a bitter afternoon. They stand at zero points in the table, in their next engagement - Friday at 18.00 CEST - our Primavera will play in Genoa at the Sampdoria stadium to look for an immediate reaction. Forza Ragazzi.

MATCH REPORT

It was an uphill battle from the start. An aggressive approach was not enough, and on the first lunge Milan went down: in the 6th minute, on the development of a corner, the trajectory of the ball surprised Pseftis and gifted Maestrelli a comfortable header on an empty goal. The reaction, however, was commendable and produced a deadly one-two: from El Hilali's penalty in the 14th minute, which he earned (a foul by Palmisano) and executed flatly, to G. Rossi's goal in the 15th minute thanks to a great volley that swelled the net after some impressive chanting. Having overturned the scoreline, the Rossoneri took control of the game and in the 22nd minute they tried again to bite: G. Rossi's shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. El Hilali was having a good day, and it showed: in the 27th minute, he broke away down the line, passed into the box and struck powerfully, marking the brace. In the final part of the half, offensive actions alternated: in the 38th minute Selvini blasted one over; in the 43rd Traorè wasted from an excellent position; in the 44th Afi was inaccurate in the box; in the 45th El Hilali scored again. 3-1 at the break.

Bartesaghi came on in place of Bozzolan at the start of the second half, reversing the script of the first half. Now it was the guests who commanded and attacked, and in the 49th minute Bruno gave them the shivers with a diagonal shot just wide. A goal was up in the air and arrived seconds later, Selvini scoring past Pseftis. The situation did not improve, and in the 56th minute, Maestrelli made a bad headed attempt. El Hilali in the 66th minute had a golden opportunity to give his side some breathing space, but, his strike from distance was straight at the goalkeeper. A mistake paid dearly for, and another defensive error in the 67th minute paved the way for Jirillo to equalise. The Diavolo persevered, in the 75th minute Gala wreaked panic without finding the opening, and in the 83rd minute, Coubis shot one over the crossbar. As the game was winding down, the mockery materialised: in the 88th minute Cangianiello lobbed the keeper and in the 93rd Peres sprinted past Pseftis to seal the victory. 3-5 at the final whistle.
